Bio

Soprano and collaborative pianist, Rena Maduro, is currently pursuing her master’s degree in vocal performance at the New England Conservatory in Boston, where she studies with Bradley Williams (MMus,2026). She has previously studied voice and opera performance at the Bienen School of Music, training with W. Stephen Smith (BMus, 2024). She is passionate about classical singing and hopes to one day have a flourishing operatic stage career where her brilliant voice and effervescent personality can truly shine. She has studied voice and piano from a young age and has won several competitions including the Spotlight Competition (2020). Most recently she was awarded the grand prize from Dante Alighieri Society  (2026) and a scholarship from the Canterbury Concerts Committee to study voice at the Boccherini Institute in Lucca, Italy. She was the New England District winner of the Laffont competition in 2026.  Her past roles include Papagena / The Magic Flute, Lola / Gallantry, Cunegonde / Candide, Queen of the Night / The Magic Flute, and Cendrillon. At NEC she performed Virtù in L'incoronazione di Poppea and Susanna in Le Nozzi di Figaro.   She is grateful to the people who have taught, inspired, and encouraged her to pursue vocal performance. She owes her strong foundation in music to her primary voice teacher Professor Eric Carampatan (California Baptist University), and her former piano teacher Dr. Elvin Rodriguez (La Sierra University). Outside of singing, Rena finds enjoyment in collaborative piano, pursues physical and mental wellness, writing and gaming. She has a particular fondness for solving rubik’s cubes. She has dedicated her life to performance and believes that music is a selfless expression of the soul with the power to unite, heal, and create community.
